Canyons
Canyons and land of Indians Navajos A 7-day trip to the most splendid places on the west coast Day 1
We begin in the city well known for gambling – Las Vegas. We will get know it’s most splendid buildings. Interiors of some casinos will really amaze us, as replica of Venice with its canal, gondolas and beautiful sunset – everything located on one floor of the building. The city is situated in the middle of nowhere – a plastic oasis in the desert.
Day 2
The nest stop takes place in Zion NP, what means amazing, not from the Earth, here are just two of many translations of its name. We have an opportunity to discover its beauty and assure ourselves that the Zion does deserve its name. We start our trek out in Groto.
Day 3
Overwhelming orange color and paths leading among rocky slops – that is our first impression in Bryce NP. You will be amazed with the variety of shapes and colors of stones that nature can create.
Day 4
Monument Valley – plan of many movies about Wild West. Immense space with faded dark red mountains in the background.
Day 5
It’s high time to meet previous habitants of this land – Indian Navajos. Even nowadays they create a separate group whose life is a mixture of Indian’s tradition and present American way of life. The impression is ambiguous and rater depressing: poverty and all-out effort to support their traditional way of thinking and living.
Day 6
Grand Canyon – Park about which everything has been said – aim of many tourists. We will check if Grand Canyon is worth its fame. We reach the bottom of the canyon, walking down the Goat Track.
Day 7
It’s time to close the circle, leave quite and amazing National Parks ahead and go back to crazy Las Vegas. On our return we have one more attraction – Hoover Dam. A nice ending of the trip.
